Team Meeting/Party

A little bit of snow and ice on the ground didn't keep these fabulous, incrdible ladies at home.
We had a great night sharing all our creations, making new ones and catching up on all the Stampin' Up! news and what's new with each other.
It's hard to get a night that's good for everyone so sadly we are missing quite a few but hopefully they can make it out next time.
Diane Blumenstock is not in this picture and that is because she helped me prepare all day for
tonight's meeting and slave driver that I am, I didn't give her enough time to go home and feed her family and get back on time.  Sorry, Diane.  We all thank you for all your hard work and we missed you.
We have some new team members this month.
Teena (left) welcomed Dale-ann (right) to her team.
Kim (middle) welcomed Deb (left) and Tammie (right)  to her team.

I was beyond thrilled that every single person brought show 'n' share tonight.  Wow!!!!
On top of that the quality and talent of these show 'n' shares were incredible!
Just take a look at these pictures but really it is so much better seeing and touching them.

Look at all the cards Deb made with her starter kit!
Baskets, Bunnies cards and more.  Fabric, techniques, cute, adorable and all WOWS!
Flowers, Layouts, mini album, yummies, card sets and so much more.
Attending meetings is a great way to gather ideas and inspiration.
Thank you all for sharing your creations.

Of course there are always prizes at meetings.  My easter basket was filled with goodies.
There were lots more pictures but they were too blurry.  We all have way too much fun to sit still for photos.

We made bonnets and learned how to make paper roses.

Honest, we don't drink at these meetings.  Sometimes after meetings people will make suggestions.
I'm not saying who, but someone mentioned that perhaps these four should be separated at the next meeting.
lol
We had a blast and I can't wait until April 27th for the next meeting/party!

Upcoming Events

I'm so excited about all the Stampin' Up! events I am planning.   First of all tomorrow night is our monthly team meeting.  You might be wondering what we do at a Team Meeting.
The #1 thing we do is HAVE FUN!
We also talk about all the Stampin' Up! news.  For example this month there is a NEW Petite Purse Bigz L Die for the Big Shot.  So of course we are going to talk about this and then play with it.  That's right, as a demonstrator we get to order new product one month before you do.  O.K.  I'm sorry, that sounded very sassy!!!   The good news is it is available April 1st.
Here is a picture of what the die can make.
These were posted on Stampin' Connection by PAG
You are probably wondering how you can attend this FUN Meeting.  It's actually a really big perk for demonstrators who bought the Starter Kit from me
The starter Kit is only $215 and you get over $400 of Stampin' Up! goodies.
Order by this Saturday, March 31, 2012 and it's ONLY $150.

Join my team and enjoy this fabulous evening once a month.

I love teaching but I love learning too!  Tonight, I attended this class taught by
the talented, Margaret Stares.  Poor Margaret got some hands on experience
dealing with students with short attention spans.
There was lots of laughter, tons of creativity (everyones projects look different),
and lots of candy.  The little bunnies are egg holders and the plastic egg holds
candy.  My egg has no candy but my tummy has plenty.
The class was from 7 to 9.  lol    Any class I partake in does not end on time.
Time flies when you are having fun and the time flew to 11pm.
I'm so grateful that Margaret allowed us to just play and not worry about what
time it was.  I truly forget all about time when I am crafting and I forget about
all the stresses in life.  Thanks, Margie!!!!

I'm back!  Yes, I fell out of the habit of blogging and I have missed it.
Life got a little busy and I got a little behind on my "To Do" list.
This is the last week of Sale A Bration.
Remember you can shop online at my Stampin' Up! site and get your
Stampin' Up! order shipped direct to your home.
Next week we are able to order and play with some products from
the new catalogue.  The new catalogue doesn't come out until June so
this is a SNEAK PEEK!!!!
Check out this gorgeous table runner made by my talented friend and
sister in law, Diane Blumenstock.
This is made with the Summer Smooches Fabric.  You really need to see this
in person as it's gorgeous!!!  Diane gave Stampin' Up! TWO THUMBS UP!
for the quality of their Fabric.  Woohooo!!!!!!!

If I had a MILLION dollars.....

I WOULD EAT KRAFT DINNER...

WITH HEINZ KETCHUP....

IN MY BLUE JEANS.....

ON A CRUISE....

WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

A few weeks have passed since we celebrated
my oldest son, David's Birthday.

For his birthday he wanted to experience Langdon Hall,
Country House Hotel  and Spa from the other side.
David works full time in their kitchen
and has been there for 4 years.  Langdon Hall is the #1 Hotel
in Canada and is known for it's 5 diamond dining.

Scrub up everyone!  Hair cuts and clean clothes!!!

J.J. the hair has to go!   I promise you won't lose your strength.
Defeated!!!  Oh, the things I endure for my Mother!!!

Our next challenge was......"jackets are recommended"

The last time both of my boys needed a jacket was for a funeral and luckily we haven't
attended one in about 3 suit sizes.
We did our best to spruce up.... but apparently there is more to fine dining then looking good.
J.J. and I are looking at the menu but it really isn't written in everyday English.
I won't be able to tell you what we ate.  I have no idea.  Oh, I was told.  In fact,
we were treated to three hours of dining and about 20 different courses.  Each
one described in detail when they served it but I have no idea what they really
said.

Does it look good to you?   David ate mine and his.
I think David was embarassed to dine with his not so refined, not so quiet family.
It turns out that in this fancy restaurant you have to be very quiet.  I mean really,
really quiet.
We are a family that jokes around and plays pranks and we are NOT QUIET!
Oh, and you know how you look in passport photo's????   That's how the
other guests look.   They do not crack a smile.
Turns out that money does not buy happiness.

How do you NOT laugh out loud with a huge snort when your daughter looks like
this when she tries the soup?
Shrimp, right???  That's what I call it but that's not what they called it.

????????
David and Laryssa!!!!  You are not helping your Mama stay serious.
HOW DO PEOPLE DINE IN SILENCE????
Irv likes the food too!
Laryssa's boyfriend Ben,  likes the food too!

J.J and I dreaming of pizza and popcorn.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TURNIP!  That is the nickname David's co-workers and
friends have for him.  David assures me that this dish was delicious.

So believe it or not.  The staff wanted to sing Happy Birthday to David but that's
not allowed in the Dining Room.  So we, all went to to the Kitchen where David
works and where we could make noise and be ourselves.
I can see that David has lots of fun working here and they are very good to him.
Oh and at the end of the day.....
David still loves his Mama, even if she doesn't enjoy fine dining.

12 x 12 Family Layout

This layout was inspired by Jessica Biro.  Jessica was a fantastic hostess this past Friday night.
She invited her friends to my house and requested a family layout.
I got the idea for the layout from a similar layout that Justine, one of my fabulous team members
shared with us at team meeting.
This layout features two of the flowers that Natasha recently showed us how to make.  I have
been showing everyone how to make them because it is so simple and it makes such a
beautiful flower.
Host a party with me and you can choose a project for your guests to make.

Gotta run now because......
Yes, it's true.......
I'm rearranging the furniture again.
The men in my house are groaning and Mama is grinning from ear to ear!!!!

sketch and card

I used the computer and the word program to make a sketch.
Then I took the sketch and picked some stamp sets that I thought
would fit the sketch.
Then I picked some colours of ink to work with.  Once again, I thought
I would use the colours that will be retiring at the end of May.
Concord Crush and Poppy Parade.
Here is the card I made.  I'd love to see what you will make.

Punch art Pop up

Isn't this the  cutest bunny ever????
You may be wondering how long it takes me to design a card?  Well, Diane
and I worked for about 3 hours just creating the bunny.
Oh don't worry, we enjoyed every minute of it.
We created two different bunnies and then showed them to family members.
They gave their opinions which were very entertaining.
At one point the bunny had a very big nose and was called "Porky Bunny"
We all loved this final bunny.
You can make this bunny this month at my Punch Art Class.  This is a pop up card.
You may be thinking that you don't give Easter cards.  It's o.k.  You could keep
this card for yourself OR start a new tradtion and give Easter cards.  Just imagine
how happy someone would be to receive this card.
PUNCH ART   Friday, March 23, 2012    10 am - Noon  OR   7pm - 9pm

In Color Countdown

This is a simple card I made tonight using two colours that will only be with us for a
few more months.  Blushing Bride and Concord Crush will retire at the end of May.
I love purple and Concord Crush is a very rich and vibrant colour.
This card also used the Triple Treat flower stamp which you can get for FREE right
now with a $60 order.
To make this card:

Stamp Hello Sentiment from My Friend stamp set in Concord Crush ink at the top
right hand corner of card front.

1/8 " strips of Blushing Bride card stock - adhere to top and bottom of baroque border
Adhere to 1 1/4" Concord Crush card stock and then adhere to card front.
Stamp Triple Treat Flower image in Concord Crush onto Whisper White card stock
and punch out using Fancy Flower punch.
Stamp Triple Treat Flower image in Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White card stock
and punch out using 5 Petal Flower punch.
Stamp Triple Treat Flower image in Concord Crush ink onto Whisper White card stock and punch out using 1/2" circle punch.
Adhere a rhinestone to centre of flower.
Attach the flower with dimensionals to pop it up on the card front.

Team Meeting

It was a fun night tonight at Team Meeting.  We used one of my favourite Big Shot dies
to create a pretty embellishment for the front of a 3 x 3 card holder.
Just some of  the incredible projects that Ria, Teena, Natasha,  Justine, and Diane
brought to share with us.
Ohhhhh!!!!!  The things we do at Team Meetings.  You just never know what we
will do.
Busy, Busy, Busy!
Thank  you Irv for taking our fabulous photos.  It was time for you to pose for the camera
with our 3x3 card holder.
Thank you Natasha for showing us how to make these beautiful  flowers.  I know I
will be making them over and over again.
