First picture keepsake

Here is a keepsake that I got the pleasure of creating with my dear friend Maaike.
Maaide was blessed recently with a gorgeous baby grand baby named Lillian.
We used perfect plum and regal rose Designer Series paper for the background.
We used Regal rose card stock to mount the two ultra sound photos and there
is a piece of Perfect Plum card stock placed behind the poem.
The poem was printed using the computer and printed out on our fabulous
vellum card stock.
A friend, Gerry, was telling me just last week how she uses Stampin' Ups!
vellum card stock for all the journalling in her scrap books.  It definitely
looks gorgeous.
We finished off the keepsake with some of our Pearls which added just the
right feminine touch.
Welcome Lillian!  You sure are lucky to have such a fantastic Grandma.
Thanks, Maaike for letting me play and help create this keepsake for Lillian.

Happy Mail

It's so nice to open up the mail box and pull something out that isn't a bill.
Wouldn't you be tickled pink if you got one of these cards in your mail box.

Sadly the post office here in my town rarely even delivers my bills.  Lucky for
me these lovely ladies know to hand deliver their cards to me which is even more
nice than getting them in the mail.
This card was stamped by Kim Munro

This card was stamped by Deb Eckert

This card was stamped by Natasha Byrne

Thank you so much for these gorgeous cards.

A Fabulous Weekend

That was a fabulous weekend.

Friday night I got to meet with some of my fellow demonstrators and we came up with some great ideas.  Deb treated us to some delicious cupcakes.  Aren't the picks cute?

Saturday I hosted a crop in Mt Pleasant.  The location was beautiful and we all had a fun day.

There was plenty of space for everyone.

Working with Stampin' Up! fabric.

There were many things I wrote down to remember for next time.
One of them is to take pictures of all the great food we had.
I should have taken a picture of the ladies using a pickle dish to scoop out the
pulled pork and the salad.  Yup!  That's right.  I forgot serving spoons.
We had to get creative or go hungry.

Cleaning OR Crafting OR Computer

Cleaning OR Crafting OR Computer.

I will pick the latter two every time.

My Mom sent me this cute poem.  I'm pretty sure she wasn't trying to tell me something.
She couldn't possibly be telling me to clean my house.
Although it might have something to do with the fact that she has done my dishes on
her last three visits.

Here is the poem she sent me:

Cleaning Poem
I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess.
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to answer 'yes.'
He told me to get off my fanny,
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.
I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick....
I was just admiring my good work.
I didn't mean to 'click.'
But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.

Nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's very, very shiny.
I guess my house will stay a mess....
While I sit here on my hiney.

Of course as soon as she sent me this I thought I would put this on my blog.  Which sent me to my computer.
Sorry Mom

Note cards & Envelopes

Here is a little challenge for you.  Create a card using the Note cards & Envelopes found on page 160 of the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 catalogue.
This is a card that I created using the notecards.
You get 20 cards with 20 envelopes for only $7.50

Don't you just love those butterflies?  They are so easy to make.
The images are stamped from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and the
butterflies are punched out with the coordinating Elegant Butterfly punch.

Do you want to challenge me?  Pick any stamp set from the catalogue
and I will use it to make 2 cards using the Note cards and Envelopes.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the love of my life and to the #1 Best Dad ever for our 3 kids.

Our children are not so little anymore and we have a little more time for our hobbies and interests.
One of Irv's interests is the search for Amelia Earhart.
This is a portfolio that I made for Irv's desk.  Everything is from the current 2012 - 2013 Stampin' Up! catalogue except for the airplane stamp which came from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Plane & Simple.  I definitely had to keep that one in my library.

You can order your monogram stamp and choose one line of text.  For Irv I chose the letter D for our last name and "From the desk of Irv Donald"
I am going to order one for myself that has my D and then "A little note from craftDbear"
I see these as making great Christmas presents.
The envelopes and the notepaper in the portfolio can be found on page 147 of the catalogue and is called English Ivy Simple Sentiments.
I created the portfolio myself from Stampin' Up's fabulous Early Espresso card stock and Comfort Cafe Designer Series paper.  I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits and the new 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain ribbon.
The cool thing is that I have the stamp to create more personalized paper when Irv has used all of the paper in this portfolio.
Yes, it's a gift that keeps on giving.
You can get the pattern for this portfolio FREE when you order the English Ivy Simple Sentiments and the Monogram Stamp from me.

Catalogue Launch

It's the day after.  The day after an exciting, fun, fabulous craftD Stampin' Up! Catalogue Launch Party that is.
It all started with a crazy whirl of activity whipping the room into shape.
We had a line up at 1pm to get in.  It will come as no surprise to those of you that know me that we weren't 100% ready.  We learned a lot for next year though.  lol

Wow!  So many came out to pick up their NEW catalogue and get some deals on NEW and Retired Stampin' Up! items.  We had make 'n' takes and goodies and door prizes.
I know you are all excited to hear who won the door prizes.  I wish everyone could win

Hear are the winners.  You didn't have to be present to win and sadly none of our winners were present at the time of the draw.

Oh but wait, I should tell you that the super cute baskets were made with the dresden die.
Each basket is designed with a different embossing folder.  The embossing folders are
