Only 1 Day Until Christmas

Thursday, December 24, 2015
 It's Christmas Eve
Yesterday, my daughter texted me to tell me
the mall was a zoo.  I told her to get
out and go to the nearest gas station to
buy gift cards.  lol
Here's another gift card holder that
only takes seconds to put together in
case you had to do your Christmas
shopping at the gas station.
Start with a 6 x 6 piece of patterned paper

 Score at 2 1/2" and 5"

Add a 1" x 6" piece under the smallest scored section

Punch out a notch with the 1 1/2" circle punch
on the side opposite to the 1" band

Apply sticky strip to the sides
Wrap around a 1 5/8" x 7" piece of card stock
to create a belly band.
Decorate with punches and stamp sets of your choice.
I used the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 2 1/2" circle punch,
2" circle punch, and the bells are from
Stampin' Up!'s Cozy Christmas Stamp Set.

2 Days Until Christmas

Wednesday, December 23, 2015
With only 2 day until Christmas, it's
time to think about family.

This is my son J.J and my daughter's two puggles,
Coby and Yoda.
My daughter and her fiancee, Devin got
a new house this year.  Devin is super
talented at woodworking.  Look at
what he transformed their front hall
closet into.  Isn't it brilliant?
I love it!
Merry Christmas from our family
to yours.

Gift Exchange

We had a gift exchange at our Team Meeting.
From left to right this is Irma, Andrea,
Melissa, Nicole and Ria.

Sure it's all smiles in the picture now.  But there was
some stealing of presents going on.

Melissa was so excited to receive this present.
But then, LOOK OUT!

Irma's got it now!

Don't feel bad!  Ria certainly didn't.
It's hard to see because it's dark but Ria is laughing.
...we all are.

Nicole is holding the gift that I received.
Yes, that's right.
I stole it.

It was a very fun night.

Here is a few more pictures of the gifts.

I'm not sure why I can't get this to flip the
right way.  Sorry, you will have to tilt
your head to read PEACE.
This was made by Nicole.

.
Melissa (sorry, caught her with her eyes closed)
 is holding chocolates and goodies
from Bed and Bath Body Shop in super
cute decorative boxes that Ria made.

This is the awesome K cup holder,
gorgeously decorated by Melissa.

This is a desk set that is to note the
awesome things that happen in 2016 made
by Denise (me)
They jars are in a container so it's hard to
see the bottom of them.  Below is pictures
of the individual jars.

 Full of Hershey Nuggets
Glitter pencils and Sticky Notes
Empty jar to store the notes of all
the awesome things that happened
and things you are grateful for each day.
Irma and Andrea made this gorgeous
cover for one of the 1/2 stamp cases ...
and inside are two containers of Dazzling Details.
Check out Irma and Andrea's blog here!
Woohoo!!!  Fabulous!!!

With only 4 days left to Christmas, maybe some of
these ideas will help you with your last minute
gift preparing.

5 Days Until Christmas

Sunday, December 20, 2015

Lots of wrapping of gifts happens these last few days
leading up to Christmas.  In our house someone is
always looking for a box.  Here is a cute box
you can make.  Just follow this FREE easy tutorial.

 8 1/2 x 11 Sheet of Card Stock
Score along the 8 1/2 inch side at 2 1/2 and 6
Score along the 11" side at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, and 10
Cut out the outside two small tabs
Cut out the outside two squares just under the two
tabs you just cut away
Cut into the middle two outside squares to
leave two triangles
Cut up to the 2 1/2 inch mark.
Now use your bone folder to score.
Apply double sided tape as shown above.
Adhere together.

Voila!  A box.  Now let's decorate it.

Layer the sides with Stampin' Up!
Designer Series Paper, I used Home for Christmas.
3 pieces 3 1/4 x 2 1/4
and 2 pieces 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
I used the Gold Glitter Ribbon and I tucked it
under the front lip so you could open and
close the box without undoing the ribbon.
I used the bow builder punch and gold
glimmer paper to create the bow on top.
And that is how simple it is to create a
gorgeous box.

8 Days Until Christmas

Thursday, December 17, 2015
It arrived!  It arrived!  Yippee! Yippee!  December's kit has arrived!
Such pretty Blue tissue paper.  I hate having to tear it
to get to the contents..... but I will.

This is what I found under the first layer.  So cool!
A Soft Suede little ink spot.  So cute.
And a great stamp set for the upcoming year.
Oh, I'm so excited now as I'm thinking it
must be a calendar kit.

A calendar kit with a stand!
Awesome!
How does the stand work.  Now I flip it
and flop it.
 And Voila!
 Front of the kit.
Back of the kit.  I see pretty gold thread.
All you need is adhesive, an acrylic block for the stamp
and a pair of snips (scissors).
You usually don't need the scissors but I like to cut
the dimensionals in half, that are provided in the kit.
This picture is my coffee table in front of the TV.
Paper pumpkin is portable and you can make it anywhere.
Woohoo!  Completed and now I have a gorgeous little
desk calendar.  Question is will I keep it or give it away
as a Christmas present or as a hostess gift?
So much fun!
