Great fun at Craft D Crop Day

Yesterday was my first crop day since my
move to Port Dover.

You might be wondering what you do
at a crop day.  You can bring
any craft projects that you want
to work un.  Some of the ladies
were scrapbooking, some
were making cards and Judy was
working on a fall wreath and banner.
I was working on a card kit the Happy Day
card kit that is available in the

Lunch and Dinner was served,
the make n take was a card,
and we had a few visitors.
We shared tons of laughs
and great tips.

Kareen won the door prize.

The next all day crop
is Sunday, September 25, 2016

We started these cards months ago.  From design
to cutting everything to assembly to finally done.

Everyone in the family helped.
Well, someitmes the family was a little
more distracting than helpful...

We made 150 cards and it was
actually quality family time.

Now it's time to design the wedding

Thursday, August 11, 2016 Family Recipe Binder Pizzas

Home made individual pizzas.

Instead of paper crafting, I had fun
crafting with pizza dough.

I had a lot of fun learning how to roll out the
dough.  I tried spinning it in the air but I can't
say I was successful at that.  The best tip I learned
was rolling it out on parchment paper and then
cooking it on the parchment paper on the stone.
Easy to roll, less mess, and it slides right off
the parchment onto the plate.

Pampered Chef sells the individual stone pans.
They are the perfect size.  Not too small and not too
big.  Just right.

This is going to be a new weekly tradition in
our home.  Everyone gets their own pizza so
they get to choose their toppings.
How many pizza's do you think I will make
before I figure out how to toss and spin the dough
 in the air?

Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - Wacky Wednesday

Laryssa & Devin Wedding Box
Back to working on my Daughter's Wedding

Laryssa and I were working on it one day a week
but with the move recently the box got put aside.

Today it's time to get busy again and start working
one day a week on it again.

Inside the Box

Hopefully we get these cards finished today and I will be
able to show you a completed card next Wednesday.
You are probably wondering if she has
picked her dress yet.
No, not yet.  When we go shopping we
get distracted by other things in the
store.  Check out this picture of
my Mom trying on funny hats.

My mom makes us laugh!
I love hats but she doesn't. Laryssa reassured
her that she doesn't have to wear a hat to
her wedding.

Tuesday, August 9, 2016 - Cute boxes

Adorable little containers that came in
last month's Paper Pumpkin kit.
I saved the stamp set that came in
the July kit to use another day.
I grabbed one of my retired
stamp sets because I love the
saying.  I filled the containers
with little hershey chocolate bars.

There is only a couple of days left
to make sure you get this months kit.

The stamp set pictured above will be in
the August Paper Pumpkin kit!

Summery Card with Thoughtful Branches

Sunday, August 7, 2016

A bright, summery, cheerful card.

It's hard to believe it's August already.  Summer is my
favourite time of year.  I love the bright sunny days
and the beautiful gardens and of course my
ultimate favourite is the lakes
are alive with families playing on the beaches
and in the water.

This card is made with the Thoughtful Branches Bundle

Washi Tape Quickie

Saturday, August 6, 2016

Recently I was challenged to use Washi Tape on a card
and this is what I created.

Turns out that Washi Tape makes a fun, quick and easy
background.  The washi tape is just torn off so it's
a wing it style.  Those who like to cut straight lines
could cut it instead of tear it and it would look
great too.

A few days ago I posted a project life give away.
You just had to leave a comment to win it.
The winner of this Project Life
 Mini Card Collection is.....

Fun with Thoughtful Branches

August 5, 2016

Yesterday, I got to spend the day with my Mom
and Kareen.  We played with the
Thoughtful Branches bundle that is only
available this month and is while supplies last.

I have seen some cards posted on the internet and
I was curious how the tree is created.
Turns out the stamp set and the coordinating
dies make it easy to create layers.

As soon as we stamped one tree, we couldn't
wait to stamp another one.  You can make trees
with leaves, without leaves, with flowers,
emboss them, glitter them, ...the
possibilities are endless.

Scroll through the list below to see the
supplies used to make the card pictured above.

Family Recipe Binder

Recording Favorite Family Recipes

August 4, 2016

Last night's dinner was Spaghetti and Meatballs.
Normally I have store bought Garlic Bread
but I didn't have any last night.
So I decided to make my own.
I am so glad I did.  Everyone loved it.
I thought I better write this recipe down
before I forget.  I knew if I wrote it
on a piece of paper that I would probably
forget where I put the piece of paper.
After racking my brain for where to
write this recipe, I thought of starting
a family recipe book, and what better tool
than the Project Life 6x8 Binder.

Luckily I always keep a spare one handy
as I love the size for many projects.

I grabbed a package of the inserts
(6x8 Project Life Photo Pocket Pages).

I chose some Project Life cards that
I had gotten a while back.

This Day Project Life Mini Card Collection

Leave a comment by 10pm SaturdayAugust 6 for a chance to win onePackage of the This Day Project LifeMini Card Colleciton

I grabbed some Stampin' Up! markers that

 co-ordinated with the card collection.

Voila!  My first recipe for my Family Recipe Binder

August 3, 2016 #imbringingbirthdaysback

Birthday Card from Shannon West.
Made with Rose Garden Framelits
I love getting Happy Mail.
Shannon West at Stampin' Up! is making lots
of people happy this year by sending birthday
cards. She has been sending thousands.
And I am one of the lucky recipients that
received a card from her.  As with most cards,
they sparkle so much more when you see them
up close.  I tried my best to capture the glitter
on this card and the fine gold thread that just
adds a touch of elegance to an already
 beautiful card.

Inside the card contains a handwritten message
from Shannon.  In classes, I am often asked if I
have sentiments to stamp on the inside of cards.
The stamped sentiments are nice but I gotta tell
you, receiving a hand written message is so
special and meaningful.  You might be thinking,
 "my handwriting is too messy"
"or they won't be able to read it"
Trust me, they will be able to read it.
And if they can't figure it out, then when you see
them you will have something fun to talk about.
I lost my father when I was almost 16.  He had already
signed my "sweet sixteen" birthday card and that
card is framed and I treasure that hand writing and
the memories we shared.
Thank you Shannon for the birthday card, the sweet
sentiment inside in your own handwriting and
 thank you for #imbringingbirthdaysback

Our new home in Port Dover

We spent July moving to Port Dover.
The move didn't quite go as planned.  We had to
put all of our things into storage and then get them
back out of storage.  Needless to say we are so happy
to be in our new home but we are also exhausted.
This is a rare moment where David and Gemma were
taking a well deserved break.
